Meghan Lewis, MOT, OTR/L

Meghan Lewis is an occupational therapist at the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters of Occupational Therapy in December 2013. She started her career at University of Virginia’s Level I Trauma Center and quickly advanced to a leadership role. Meghan specialized in the acute treatment of polytrauma, burn, spinal cord injury, and brain injury populations, specifically in ICU settings. She has traveled to Malawi on two occasions to assist the Malawi Surgical Initiative through the University of North Carolina. She educated hospital staff in Malawi and assisted in development of rehabilitation programs after burn injury for children and adults. She started at the Center for the Intrepid in March 2019 with a focus on treating amputations, limb salvage, and polytrauma and has assisted in the development of multiple programs, including a cognitive, visual, and vestibular performance program for Special Operations  Performance and Recovery.
