Mary C. Barnes, MOT, CHT, CIDN has over 35 years experience as an occupational therapist. She has been a certified hand therapist and a member of the American Society of Hand Therapist for over 25 years. She has taught hand therapy and orthotics courses for ASHT, TOTA and Cross Country Education in the US and internationally in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Guatemala and Vietnam.

She volunteers internationally with Surgicorps International and Healthcare Volunteers Overseas.

She has been the recipient of multiple awards including "Award of Excellence ", "Therapist of the Year" and "Pioneer Award" from TnOTA “Best Grassroots Initiative” and “Outstanding Member” from ASHT and the Vargas Grant from AAHS. 

Ms. Barnes earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Tennessee Technological University and her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Woman's University.
