Jen Dodson, OTD, OTR/L, CHT

Jen Dodson has been an OT since 1998, CHT since 2004, and obtained her post-professional OTD from Jefferson University in 2021. She also obtained an Advanced Practice Certificate in "Teaching in the Digital Age" in 2020. She spent most of her career at a level one trauma center where she was able to serve the two populations she is most passionate about: those that have sustained the most severe upper extremity injuries and athletes of all levels. She received the NBCOT Impact Award for her dedication to serving those with complex traumatic upper extremity injuries. She has advocated for the profession and specialty by teaching various upper extremity topics around the US and Canada, previously serving on the ASHT education council, being an adjunct professor, and developing hand therapy programs in various settings. She is currently employed at OrthoCarolina as a clinical specialist, coordinating student placement, organizing continuing education courses for the OTs, and the therapist in the brachial plexus clinic with the surgeons once a month.
