Amy Lake, OTR, CHT

Amy Lake OTR, CHT is a pediatric occupational therapist and certified hand therapist specializing in treatment of pediatric upper limb conditions including congenital anomalies, orthopedic conditions, and sports-related injuries at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children(SRH) in Dallas, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Kansas University Medical Center in 1993 and became a certified hand therapist in 1999. Prior to joining the Scottish Rite team in 2001, Amy began her career at Trinity Lutheran Hospital and then St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City Missouri working with adult Hand therapy patients in an outpatient setting. In her 22 years at Scottish Rite Hospital she has spoken nationally and internationally numerous times on pediatric hand therapy and the effects of Hand Camp as well as contributed chapters in 3 different books and authored or co-authored 5 journal articles. Amy has also been instrumental in directing Hand Camps over the past 22 years and expanded the model at SRH from one hand camp to three hand camps a year for different age ranges and helped 15 other institutions start up similar camps nationally and internationally.
